NIST TRC WinTable

Graphical Interface for NIST TRC Tables

NIST TRC WinTable was released in April of 2001 by the NIST Standard Reference Data as NIST Standard Reference Database 85. It is designed to retrieve and display recommended property values of pure compounds and is essentially the electronic version of TRC Thermodynamic Tables-Hydrocarbons and TRC Thermodynamic Tables-Non-Hydrocarbons which have been compiled by the Thermodynamics Research Center (TRC) for more than 50 years. At present, WinTable includes more than 474,800 property data points and 2,737 sets of equation coefficients for 7,468 compounds and 33 properties. For details, please browse the User's Guide

Outstanding characteristics of the database are:

  1. WinTable contains the best available values of physical and thermodynamic properties of chemical compounds from the hard copy (critically evaluated data on the physical and thermodynamic properties of hydrocarbons and related sulfur derivatives of hydrocarbons present in petroleum and coal related substances as well as simple inorganic substances and organic compounds containing heteroatoms).
  2. WinTable performs property calculations for some thermophysical properties based upon coefficients of equations.
  3. WinTable provides Antoine Equation coefficients for vapor pressure data and fitting equation coefficients for second virial coefficients of gases.
