ABSTRACT
In this work, densities, F, refractive indices, nD, speeds of sound, u, and dynamic viscosities, e, of the ternary mixtures ethanol + water with 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ([C8mim][Cl]) and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethylsulfate (EMISE) have been measured at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. Excess molar volumes, Vm E , refractive index deviations, centsnD, isentropic compressibilities, S, molar isentropic compressibilities, KS,m, isentropic compressibility deviations, cents S, excess molar isentropic compressibilities, KS,m E , viscosity deviations, centse, and excess free energies of activation of viscous flow, centsG*E, have been calculated from experimental data and fitted to Cibulka and Singh et al. equations. The excess properties have been used to test several prediction models.
