ABSTRACT
The work reports vapor liquid equilibrium measurements for the binary systems (methane + cyclohexane) and (methane + ethanol) and the ternary system (methane + cyclohexane + ethanol) at high pressures. Experiments were carried out in a variable-volume cell with operating temperatures ranging from (280 to 333) K and pressures up to 12 MPa. The phase equilibrium data obtained for the systems were modeled using The Peng Robinson equation of state with the classical van der Waals (PR-vdW2) and Wong Sandler (PR-WS) mixing rules. The PR-WS model showed good performance in the prediction of the phase behavior for the ternary system based on the binary systems data.
