ABSTRACT
In this contribution we report a complete thermophysical characterization of the binary mixture 1-propylpyridinium tetrafluoroborate + methanol. We have obtained the following properties at p = 1 atm and T = (293.15, 303.15, 313.15, and 323.15) K: densities, refractive indices, speeds of sound, kinematic and absolute viscosities, and ionic conductivities. Moreover, the isothermal vapor liquid equilibrium at T = (303.15 and 323.15) K has also been determined. From experimental data, excess molar volumes, excess isentropic compressibilities, refractive index deviations, viscosity deviations, and excess Gibbs functions have been calculated. The properties obtained have been analyzed considering structural and energetic contributions in the mixture.
