ABSTRACT
Vapor pressures of four alkanolamines (2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]-ethanol [CAS No. 111-41-1], 2-[[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]methylamino]-ethanol [CAS No. 2212-32-0], 2-(2-aminoethoxy)-ethanol [CAS No. 929-06-6], and 2-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)ethanol [CAS No. 1704-62-7]) have been measured by the transpiration method. Molar enthalpies of vaporization were obtained from the temperature dependence of the vapor pressure. Primary experimental data on temperature on vapor pressures of alkanolamines have been collected from the literature and have been treated uniformly to derive vaporization enthalpies at the reference temperature T = 298.15 K. An internal consistency check of the reported enthalpy of vaporization values has been performed. Low-volatile alkanolamines studied in this work have been considered as suitable candidates for use in mixtures with ionic liquids in industrial processes of CO2 and H2S capture.
