Experimental VLE data for the system ethanol (1) + 2-methyl-1-butanol (2) + CaCl2 (3) have been measured at two different pressures (33.3 and 101.3 kPa) and three salt concentrations and have been correlated using the NRTL electrolyte model. From the results obtained, we can conclude that CaCl2 does not significantly affect the relative volatility of the system and that the NRTL electrolyte model is suitable for fitting the equilibrium data for the ethanol (1) + 2-methyl-1-butanol (2) + calcium chloride(3) system with more than sufficient accuracy.
