Solubility of 4-(3,4-Dichlorophenyl)-1-tetralone in Some Organic Solvents

ABSTRACT
The solubility of 4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-tetralone in methanol, ethanol, 2-propanol, acetone, toluene, N,Ndimethylformamide, and tetrahydrofuran were measured using a laser technique in the temperature range from (278.15 to 323.15) K. The results were correlated with a semiempirical equation, which can be used as a useful model in the production process of 4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)- 1-tetralone and sertraline hydrochloride.
