Surface Properties of Pure Liquids and Binary Liquid Mixtures of Ethylene Glycol + Methylcyclohexanols

ABSTRACT
Surface tension, ?(t), for binary mixtures of ethylene glycol + 2-methylcyclohexanol, +3-methylcyclohexanol, and +4-methylcyclohexanol was measured over the whole composition range. Measurements were made under atmospheric pressure in the temperature range between 293.15 K and 323.15 K. The experimental values were correlated with mol fraction and temperature and also have been used to calculate the excess surface tensions. The thermodynamics properties of the mixture, the surface entropy, and surface enthalpy have been calculated.
