ABSTRACT
The solubilities of 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid (isophthalic acid) in water, acetic acid and acetic acid+water solutions of mass fraction of acetic acid on a solute-free basis of 0.2056, 0.4083, 0.6082, respectively, were measured. The concentration of the solution was determined by gravimetrical method. The measured solubility of isophthalic acid in water is agreed with those reported in the literature. The logarithm of the solubility data show good linearity against temperature.
