Density, Viscosity, and Refractive Index of Binary Mixtures of Fatty Acid Ethyl Esters with Ethylcyclohexane
The density, viscosity and refractive index data of binary mixtures for the main components of biodiesel (ethyl caprylate, ethyl caprate and ethyl myristate) with ethylcyclohexane in the overall composition range were measured at temperatures T= (293.15 to 323.15) K and at pressure p=0.1 MPa. The viscosities of binary mixtures were correlated with the Grunberg-Nissan equation. The values of excess molar volumes (VmE) and viscosity deviations () were calculated and correlated using the Redlich-Kister equation. The standard deviations, average percentage deviation and the regression coefficients of the fittings are given. All of the VmE values are positive and the values are negative over the whole composition range for these tested systems.
