ABSTRACT
Vapor-liquid equilibrium data for the binary systems of 1-butanol + N, N- dimethylacetamide and methyl isobutyl ketone + N, N-dimethylacetamide were measured at 101.3kPa. The vapor-liquid equilibrium experiments of two systems were carried out in the modified Rose vapor recirculating type equilibrium still. Van Ness and Herington test were used to check the thermodynamic consistency of the experimental data. After meeting the thermodynamic consistency test, the NRTL, UNIQUAC and Wilson models were used for correlation and regression of the experimental data. The binary interaction parameters of each model of the two binary systems were obtained. Compared the equilibrium temperature and vapor phase mole fraction between the experimental value and the calculated value, it shown from the root-mean-square deviations and average absolute deviation that the two models had a good correlation with the experimental data.
