ABSTRACT
In this paper, the research of thermodynamic mean activity coefficients about the ternary system (NaCl-SrCl2-H2O) have been made. A cell without liquid junction can be expressed as Sodium ISE Sodium Chlorine (mA), Strontium Chloride (mB)ChlorineISE.It is used to research the activity coefficients in this mixtures at 278.15 K by EMF method. Then (total ionic strengths) I=0.0100-3.0000 mol*kg-1 and different yB (ionic strength fractions) = (0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8). The diagrams between NaCl ( mean activity coefficient of NaCl) and yB (ionic strength fraction) were plotted. The mixed interaction parameters of Pitzer equations Na, Sr and Na, Sr, Cl of this system at 278.15 K were fitted by using multiple regression, respectively. In addition, those obtained parameters were also used to calculate SrCl2 (mean activity coefficients of SrCl2) by the Pitzer equation. Accordingly, osmotic coefficients, water activity and excess Gibbs free energy in mixtures were studied.
