ABSTRACT
Densities, viscosities, electrical conductivities, surface tensions, and melting points of chelate-based ionic liquids [C10mim][M(hfac)3](M = CoII, NiII, CuII; hfac = hexafluoroacetylacetonate; C10mim = imidazolium cation with C10 chain) were measured. Densities and viscosities were measured in the temperature range (328.15-343.15) K, electrical conductivities and surface tensions were measured in the temperature range (323.15-343.15) K. By means of Glasser's theory, the standard molar entropy and crystal energy were estimated. The molar enthalpy of vaporization was calculated by Kabo's method and the ionicity was evaluated by Walden rule. The effects of different metals on the properties of ionic liquids were compared which found that different metals have great influence on the transport properties of ionic liquids, but little influence on thermodynamic properties.
