ABSTRACT
The concept of eutectic solvents as platform technology has become a popular approach for a variety of applications including gas separation. To date, the number of known of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) is limited mainly by halide salts which easily interact with hydrogen bond donors (HBD) resulted in the formation of a liquid phase. Actually, the properties of DESs may be tuned by selecting the appropriate HBD, while the structure of anion is not a decisive factor.
