ABSTRACT
In this paper, the gaseous pressure-volume-temperature properties of ethyl fluoride (HFC-161) were studied over a temperature range from 278 to 378 K and pressures from 135.08 to 4235.22 kPa. A total of 132 data points were acquired using the Burnett isochoric method. The standard uncertainties for temperature and pressure were estimated to be less than 8 mK and 0.7 kPa, respectively. The experimental data were correlated with a virial-type equation of state. The comparisons were carried out between the present data and literature values. In addition, the saturated vapor densities of HFC-161 were derived on the basis of the experimental data.
