ABSTRACT
Densities of aqueous 2-dimethylaminoethanol (2DMAE) solutions with and without carbon dioxide (CO2) were measured over the entire concentration range of 2DMAE and temperatures of (293.15 to 343.15) K. The thermal expansion coefficients and excess molar volumes were determined from the experimental density data. A second-order Redlich Kister equation satisfactorily correlated the excess molar volumes against 2DMAE mole fractions. The Weiland model was used to correlate the densities of CO2-loaded 2DMAE solutions, and the deviation between experimental and calculated values is discussed.
