Physico-chemical exploration of solution behaviour of some metal perchlorates prevailing in N-methyl formamide with the manifestation of ion solvent consequences

ABSTRACT
Electrical conductance of lithium perchlorate, sodium perchlorate, potassium perchlorate in pure N-methyl formamide have been measured at 298.15 K. Limiting molar conductance (Lo), association constants (KA) and co-sphere diameter (R) for ion-pair formation have been examined by using Fuoss conductance equation. Viscosity B-coefficient, apparent molar volume (fV ) and apparent molar adiabatic compressibility (fK ) have been achieved from viscosity (h), density (r) and speed of sound (c) measurements respectively. The limiting apparent molar volume (f0 V ) and experimental slope (S V ) have been interpreted in terms of ion solvent and ion ion interactions respectively. The viscosity data have been analysed using Jones Dole equation and derived parameters A and B represent ion ion and ion solvent interactions respectively. The c values have been used to determine adiabatic compressibility (bS) and limiting apparent molar adiabatic compressibility (f0 K ).
