ABSTRACT
Denisties of the following pure thiocyanate-based ionic liquids: 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium thiocyanate- [EMIM][SCN], 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium thiocyanate- [BMIM][SCN] and 1-butyl-4- methylpyridinium thiocyanate- [B1M4Py][SCN] have been determined using a vibrating tube densimeter. Measurements have been done over the temperature range from T = (298.15 to 348.15) K and pressure p = (0.1 to 10) MPa. The experimental values of the densities have been correlated by means of the Tait equation with the temperature-dependent parameters. Isobaric expansivities and isothermal compressibilities have been calculated using the correlation equation.
