This paper represents the results of first accurate measurements of the enthalpies of solution of ethyl acetate (EtOAc) and deuteroporphyrin dimethylester (DDE) in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) in the temperature range of 298.318 K. The standard enthalpies and heat capacities of solution are computed and compared with available literature values. Our results indicate that for EtOAc the standard partial molal heat capacity is identical to the heat capacity of the pure solute ( C0 p . 0), whereas for DDE the heat capacity of solution is large and positive.
