Ternary (liquid + liquid) equilibria for (water + 2-propanol + a-pinene, or a-pinene) mixtures at four temperatures

ABSTRACT
Ternary (liquid + liquid) equilibria date of (water + 2-propanol + a-pinene, or a-pinene) systems were measured at (293.15, 298.15, 303.15 and 308.15) K under atmospheric pressure. The experimental results were correlated using the extended and modified UNIQUAC models. The calculated results obtained from the modified UNIQUAC model were agreement well with the experimental tie-line data. The distribution coefficients of pinene were calculated from tie-line data. The temperature dependence of immiscible regions and distribution coefficient was studied.
