ABSTRACT
Experimental measurement of vapor-liquid equilibria (VLE) was performed for the 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (HFO-1234yf) + 1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane (HFC-245cb) system. The VLE data were measured by a static-analysis apparatus at temperatures ranging from (283.15 to 313.15) K. Within the experimental temperature range, the binary system was slightly non-ideal; no azeotropic behavior was observed. Experimental results were correlated based on equations of state (EOS) method. The Peng-Robinson EOS and van der Waals mixing rules were used to calculate both vapor and liquid phase fugacity coefficient. Correlation deviation was acceptable and thermodynamic consistency was well satisfied.
