ABSTRACT
The solubility of D-camphor-10-sulfonic acid (D-CSA, CAS No. 3144-16-9) in seven solvents (ethyl acetate, methyl acetate, n-butyl acetate, isopropyl acetate, glacial acetic acid, acetic anhydride and propionic acid) was measured under atmospheric pressure. The solubility data were correlated by the modified Apelblat equation, the eh equation, the Wilson model and the UNIQUAC model, respectively. And the thermodynamic parameters of D-CSA, molar dissolution enthalpy and entropy, were determined by the Van t Hoff equation to explain its dissolving behavior in each solvent.
