ABSTRACT
The solubility of cefoperazone in four pure solvents and a binary solvent mixture (acetone + water) were experimentally determined from 278.15 to 313.15 K by using a gravimetric method. The solubility data in pure solvents (acetone, 2-propanol, ethanol and water) were well correlated by using the modified Apelblat equation. The CNIBS/R-K model and Jouyban-Acree model were used to correlate the solubility data in binary mixture. Furthermore, the enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs energy change of dissolution of cefoperazone in different solvents were also calculated by using the van't Hoff equation.
