ABSTRACT
Excess molar enthalpies (HE) of the carbon dioxide + ethyl acetate system were measured near the crit-ical point of carbon dioxide using a flow-type isothermal microcalorimeter at 298.15 to 308.15 K and 5.0 to 7.0 MPa. Mixtures showed strong exothermic behavior in these regions. The maximum absolute value of HE(maximum exothermic value) was about 8.5 kJ mol-1at 298.15 K and 5.0 MPa. A two-phase region, where HE varied linearly with composition, was found in the CO2-rich region at all temperaturesand pressures except at the condition 298.15 K and 7.0 MPa.
