Liquid-liquid equilibria for the ternary system (water + tetradecane + 1-methyl-2-propoxyethoxy-2-propanol)

ABSTRACT
Fish-shaped phase diagram at a fixed water/tetradecane mass ratio (1/1) and three triangle phasediagrams at T = (298.15, 308.15, and 318.15) K of the ternary (water + tetradecane + 1-methyl-2-propoxyethoxy-2-propanol) were performed under atmospheric pressure. The upper and lower criticalsolution temperatures of the system were (300.90 and 280.00) K, respectively, according to the fish-shaped phase diagram. The experimental results of the ternary system were satisfactorily correlated bythe NRTL equation.
