ABSTRACT
The solubilities of 3-pentadecylphenyl acrylate in methanol ethanol mixture solvents of different compositions were measured at temperatures ranging from 273.15 K to 297.15 K at atmospheric pressure using a laser detecting system. The solubility data were correlated by the modified Apelblat equation and Buchowski-Ksiazczak lambda-h equation. Both the Apelblat equation and the Buchowski-Ksiazczak lambda-h equation can fit the solubility data well. The dissolution enthalpy and entropy of 3-pentadecylphenyl acrylate were predicted with the solubility data using modified Apelblat equation.
