Solid-liquid phase equilibrium of 9-fluorenone and several polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons

ABSTRACT
Binary phase diagrams of 9-fluorenone and several polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons including 9-fluorenone + dibenzofuran, 9-fluorenone + fluorene, 9-fluorenone + acenaphthene, 9-fluorenone + carbazole and 9-fluorenone + anthracene have been determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results show that all systems are simple eutectic systems. The measured binary phase diagrams were also verified using Ott empirical equation and regular-solution theory, respectively. The correlated results are in good agreement with the experimental data.
