ABSTRACT
HFC-236fa (1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane) has been used as an alternative refrigerant in heat pump system and as an alternative blowing agent. Thermal conductivity of liquid HFC-236fa was measured using transient hot wire method in the temperature range from 253 K to 373 K and pressure from 0.1MPa to 30 MPa. The experimental results were correlated as a polynomial function of temperature and pressure. The experimental results were also compared with the values calculated by REFPROP 8.0. The estimated uncertainty of the thermal conductivity is better than +-2%.
