ABSTRACT
The experimental isothermal P x y data between 263.15 and 343.15K at 10K intervals of liquid binary mixtures 2,2 -oxybis[propane] (diisopropylether or DIPE) + toluene, +m-xylene and of the three pure components are reported. Data reduction by Barker s method provides correlation for excess molar Gibbs energy (GE). Enthalpies of mixing (HE) have been measured for liquid binary mixtures of 2,2 oxybis[propane] (diisopropylether or DIPE) + toluene, +mxylene at 303.15K and constant pressure using a C80 calorimeter. A Redlich Kister type equation [O. Redlichand, A.T. Kister, Ind. Eng. Chem. 40 (1948) 345] was used to correlate experimental values of GE and HE. DISQUAC model [H.V. Kehiaian, Fluid Phase Equilib. 13 (1983) 243; H.V. Kehiaian, Pure Appl. Chem. 57 (1985) 15] has been applied to the binary systems.
