ABSTRACT
Apparent molal volume of the solutions of CaCl2 and Ca(NO3)2 in ethanol are reported and correlated using equations obtained from the various local composition (LC) models. The considered models are e-NRTL, NRF, MNRTL, and EW models. The applicability of the models has been discussed with comparing their standard deviations with those obtained from the Pitzer model and a polynomial equation. Limiting partial molal volumes of the salts have been obtained using dilute region data via the Redlich Meyer equation.
