ABSTRACT
The liquid viscosity of ethyl fluoride (HFC161) was measured over the temperature range from (233 to 373) K along the saturation line with a calibrated capillary viscometer. The estimated uncertainty of the measurement was less than 3% for the viscosity. The saturated liquid viscosity of isobutane (HC600a) was measured for verifying the reliability and proper operation of the apparatus. The liquid-viscosity data of HFC161 were correlated as a function of temperature. The average absolute deviation and the maximum deviation of the experimental results from the correlation function are 0.66 % and 2.13 %, respectively.
