ABSTRACT
Experimental data are presented for the thermal conductivity of mixtures of carbon dioxide and ethane. The thermal conductivity has been measured with a parallel-plate instrument, as a function of temperature along isochores, so as to obtain detailed information on the behavior of the thermal conductivity of a mixture near the locus of vapor liquid critical points. The experimental results are in agreement with theoretical predictions from the mode-coupling theory for critical dynamics in binary mixtures.
