Evaluation of Enthalpy of Formation and Absolute Entropy for Condensed Phases with Reaction Data
Generally, TDE will evaluate the condensed-phase enthalpy of formation from enthalpy-of-combustion studies and the absolute entropy from heat-capacity studies to low temperatures. If other enthalpy-of-reaction or equilibrium data exist that involve the target compound, TDE will query the user, who can decide whether to consider this additional data in evaluation of the enthalpy of formation. (If these properties are not of interest to the user, there is no reason to proceed with this relatively slow process.)The steps in the process are shown here.
